In case you forgot the cute man who’s been in lots of pictures on my blog, here’s another one.
Anyway, the day after this picture was taken he got sick. Very sick. Had a couple of heart attacks on top of some other shit that I don’t want to talk about. He’s going to be 84 this year, and while things were touch and go for a while, he’s doing better. But not great. He will never be great, and that is so fucking sad.
When I’m sad I curse a shitload. And although it’s been a week and he’s through the worst of it, I can’t stop fucking cursing. Okay, I can, but I don’t really want to. Good stress relief, and living in NY I need some good stress relief.
My grandpa is just like me, or I’m like him since he came first. Whenever he wasn’t all doped up and sleeping in the one of the most depressing places on earth, he would curse. The first words I heard him utter in that hospital bed were “Oh shit!” and then he said, “Get me the fuck out of here.” That’s actually about all he said. Over and over again.
SO - while I haven’t blogged like I should, I hope you fucking understand. Oh, and this cursing thing…I promise, gone by tomorrow. Deal bitch?
