Personally: Back from New Orleans as of late last night and I’m feeling in a funk. I miss walking down the street and saying hello to people you don’t know (also called strangers). I miss feeling like I’m not even in the United (or is it Divided?) States - even when I am. I miss the food, the glorious food, and the eclectic mix of drunks and well, other people. Really I just miss the general happiness that is New Orleans.
Professionally: Tracy Clark-Flory over at Salon blogged about this article today. All I’ll say is something’s not right here. Or, more concisely, something is wrong. The article, the Australian one, talks about the fact that many women actually like porn, or at least a sprinkling o’ porn, but the author still tries to drill it in her readers minds that women hate porn. But even she says they don’t hate porn. What’s going on here? I’m confoosed.
The author, one ask Sam!, writes:
In other words perhaps what we need is more foreplay, more romance, more kissing after sex and more (gasp!) story line … now wouldn’t that be porn that women would want to see
Um, that stuff is out there, Sam!. And it continues to be made by more women each and every year. And if you’re looking for more storyline c’mon, you’ve got Candida Royalle. She’s been making that kind of porn, which she prefers to call erotica, since 1984.
