Domestic Violence is so Undomesticated!

With reports circulating that Jenna Jameson may have been the latest public figure to fall victim to domestic abuse (although this YourTango article says she did drop her kids off to go party with friends in Vegas, and that she may be addicted to Oxycontin and in turn may be trying to cover up her addiction with charges of battering), I thought it would be helpful to post some useful links just in case you’re a victim of the kind of violence that affects approximately 1.3 million women and 835,000 men annually in the United States alone.

That’s a lot of making war, not love, on the homefront.

Here are some resources for you, or someone you love, should they need (and are ready) to get help.

Call the National Domestic Violence Hotline.

Download this Domestic Violence Survival Kit.

Check out this informative Women’s Law website.

And the National Network to End Domestic Violence site lists state coalitions against DV.
